Setetkwe Environmental Incorporated (SEI) is a 51% aboriginal-owned environmental consulting company based in the BC Interior, with its head office located in Kamloops. Additional offices in Barriere and Canim Lake, and a crew that is open and eager to travel, which allows us to provide flexible and timely service throughout British Columbia and Alberta.
Founded by Ron Lampreau and Cheryl Phippen, 2016, SEI has grown to be a strong and competitive company with upwards of 30 seasonal team members.
Ron Lampreau, a TRU Engineering Design and Drafting Technology graduate, has extensive experience in Integrated Pest Management and Integrated Vegetation Management. He holds certifications in various environmental, safety, and firefighting disciplines and is the Fire Chief of the Chu Chua Fire Department.
Cheryl Phippen, a University of Victoria Biology graduate, and Registered Nurse, has managed mosquito control programs across BC since 1999. She has extensive experience in Integrated Vegetation Management, hydroseeding and remediation seeding. Cheryl also has additional expertise in occupational health, providing vaccination services and health advice.
Together, Ron and Cheryl have built SEI from the ground up and are directly involved in all aspects of their business operations. They are personally responsible for hiring, training, and mentoring all new team members to ensure that all members are confident, enthusiastic, and competent employees. We promote a culture of inclusion and positivity, and our team is known for being supportive of each other and exceptionally hard-working.
Ron and Cheryl directly oversee all procurement of supplies and equipment and ensure that all vehicles and equipment are inspected and maintained on strict schedules. This means that our equipment is safe, reliable, and breakdowns rarely impact our performance.
